I remember my friend buying a really beautiful candle once which had all decorative things on it. She brought it home and realized that it had no wick to light it up. The mind of a childish person works in this way. This person looks at everything peripheral about anything, sometimes, leaving aside the main details that need to be focused upon.
They love being around kids because they themselves are very childish. They do not prefer being in serious situations. Think from a child’s point of view, everything to them is amazing and beautiful. These childish people enjoy the aesthetics; they enjoy being in nature and visiting beautiful places.
This kind of an outlook towards things makes these people concentrate more upon the presentaion of anything that they come across. They can come up with ideas in software industries where designing and display is required. They are even good as interior decorators and architects.
This point of view develops in these people from their childhood where they are taught to view the aesthetic side more than the functional side of anything. These people tend to pay attention on details of the beauty than the utility of anything.
Since they are childish and immature, as parents they are very good with their children up to a certain age but then it gets difficult when children grow up. They find it difficult to manage relationships because of their immaturity.
At workplace these people bring everything to life. Environment is lively when they are around but they might just not stop being childish when it comes to working seriously.
Their success lies in understanding the difference between being childish and childlike. Being childish includes being stubborn, irresponsible, silliness etc. Whereas being child like is having the positive qualities of a child like is being innocent, curious, keeping faith, acceptance etc.
“You can be childlike without being childish.” – Christopher Meloni
